passing through the Rosebud Reservation yesterday, we came across a very old church, quite plain to the eye, a simple stucco structure one would hardly take notice of. on entering this church out in the middle of no where in the sand hills of South Dakota I was stunned to see the beautiful stained glass windows, statues and murals held within. such reverance and beauty, no one would have guessed what this small stucco church held. And there in a very dimly lit area, I was shown this stunning wooden statue. what slight avaiable lighting comes from tungstun bulbs in the church. special thanks to Kathleen for the back up :)
