I love this image! But I wouldn't necessarily describe it as sad. It is real life, and the fact that those three are "hanging out" together, probably reminiscing about their youth and telling anegdotes from their lives, makes the situation altogether brighter, doesn it? Sorry about the long comment, but this photo really moved me. Great work!

I agree with John. There is disempowerment of course but also community. The armless one on his own would be exploitative perhaps.
