interesting picture. It is an abstract cause it makes you look..... and keep looking..... and looking untill you finaly figure a little out about what it seems to look like. Is it an umbrella?
Really like those whites Amanda! But I'm wondering... did you compensate? I'm guessing it needs about +1/2 stop more? I think I have to spend some rolls and try to get some good whites and high keys: my recent atempts didn't even came close to this one :); and this is a very cool subject for it, I see the low contrast situations help a lot.
Well as for the composition it took me quite a while to comment on this and the reason was that there is something I quite don't understand. Has something to do with those angles and their relation with the frame. I've been thinking of square crops, rotating to vertical, etc, in order to adequate some of those tensions caused by those weird angles. They just make the overall very unbalanced - triangles always do. Only now I tried this: cropped a bit, while rotating it counter-clockwise some degrees. I found the composition gets more natural and more flowing. I also added a little more light(just a bit) adjusting the flat levels then the curves.
Well I hope you like this. Just tell me if it makes sense.
