Nicole, you are going to have a fantastic time. This is a place everyone should try to see once in their lifetime as it is simply amazing.

My only suggestions would be to bring a lot of film and if you aren't hinking to far bring a tripod, the early morning or late evening are best assuming the clouds aren't too bad. Machu Pichu is in a rain forest, so be prepared for anything.

Finally, use a polarizer, all day long as the haze caused by the altitude is very pronounced.
