Billions and billions of stars. Beautiful photo, I find it amazing that the photons being captured have been flying through space for millions of years.

Guido,
Piggyback means that the camera is attached to the outside of the telescope tube using its own lens, and not the telescope's optics. The telescope's motor tracks the sky, and the photographer guides the telescope during the exposure keeping a guide star on the crosshairs of a reticle eyepiece. The telescope needs to have its right ascension axis aligned parallel to the earth's polar axis to prevent field rotation. If the alignment is not accurate, then the image has trails centered on the guide star.

great shot,Taras dont know what piggyback means? I know your camera follows the movement of the stars automaticely with the Meade computer. best regards guido
