Usually, when I first meet a person on the pages of "Usefilm", Mr. Gamble, I comment on the last photo that person uploaded, as it is the first photo I see, but your "Folds of softness" captivated me and if the soft focus was intentional, to accetuate the sofness of the rose, you have a hit on your hands, even more so as it is your first attempt at macro photography. I'm glad that you found my "Hush, I'm wired" funny and thank you for your generouse comment on it. Rgards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann

Hi Jim This is lovely as it is sharp enough to make out what it is and soft enough to warrant its name. Cliff

I don't know why it's out of focus - you wanted it or by accident. It's not easy to get sharpness in macro - especially to the right place and in right dose. But I like this shot very much.I like this tone and softness. So romantic and lovely.

Interesting colors, with the pink and white, and I like the overall texture, but think it suffers from lack of focus. It's a tough balance....the soft out-of-focus look vs. enough detail to appreciate the subject. I do think the lighting and tone is great. Great first effort! ..Brad
