About My last bird pic for a while?

Just to say that, (owing to Carole having surgery tomorrow, Wednesday), my contributions and comments could be a little erratic over the next few days and weeks. Please bear with me!

Thanks, Chris

Will be praying all goes well. The D70 seems to have encouraged you to, er, spread your wings. This is one for the birds... wonderful rendering of the details and close, powerfully concentrated cropping.

Hi Chris! I'm so sorry for my late reply, I have been so busy and haven't had time with Usefilm comments to anyone. And you asked yesterday if I'm okay and I didn't have time until now to answer.

Yes, I'm fine, and my daughter is behaving very well. She regrets what she did and understand how dangerous it is. I think we have met eachother half way. I am more understanding with what is normal for 14 years old, and she understands and respects that I ALWAYS want to know where she is.

But about photos now... I just STARED when I clicked in to your portfolio! So MANY fantastic thumbnails of really great photos! I clicked in to this because it's so clean and clear, and with a really strong and interesting eye expression! Quality is SUPER! Maybe just a tiny tiny bit grainy, but still perfect. What a fantastic capture!

Ps. I didn't know your wife is ill and will have surgery! Or now I guess she has had it already... Hope everything went just fine!

Chris; this is a stunning photo! Besides the sharpness and exposure being excellent, there is a strong "implied" diagonal from lower left to upper right that makes this is very strong composition-- the beak, the eyes, and the head feathers all sweep in that direction. This ones going into my favorites for inspiration. Best wishes to your wife on upcoming surgery. Craig
