Joe,

Thanks for your comments on http://www.usefilm.com/image/329742.html

You are absolutely right: timing is everything in this shot, and there are so many things to look out for, reflections on the glass being one of them, plus camera shake (especially at this low light). I like this shot you have made.

You have captured this shot at a great time of the day: it is dark enough for the artificial lights on the buildings to have an effect, yet you can still see detail and light in the sky.

Do you have another version of this shot that is not compressed so much? Unfortunately the JPEG compression has taken quite a lot of the detail away and it looks a bit soft all the way through. The file is only 26KB, which leads me to believe you selected a very low JPEG quality for uploading this shot. I thing usefilm allow up to 300KB and I am really curious to see this photo at a better quality setting.

Another really minor thing: I think the horizon is ever so slightly tilted. Maybe you can fix that in Photoshop?

Last of all, I think this shot could really have benefitted from a wider angle lens. I can see what you are trying to do: include both the London Eye "pod" and Big Ben in the shot. Unfortunately, both are cropped, and the middle of the frame is kind of empty. Did you take a separate photo including just the Palace of Westminster?

Regards,
Angelo.

Debbie Thanks for your kind comment.

Mary Sue, that is Westminster Bridge, with Big Ben at the very wedge and Parliment just past the bridge.

This is very nice, Joe. Which bridge is that just at the bottom of the picture? I like this view of London, you have great colors and saturation here.
