About	It is not instantly obvious that Japan is a beautiful country. People used to picture perfect views of the countryside will be disappointed, 'cause electric wires extend in every direction. If you're looking for charming reminders of old Japan, be prepared to find them surrounded by concrete monstrosities. No, in Japan one must look for beauty at the micro level. Admire the flowers... bury your face in them, and observe the river behind through the petals. Pay no attention to the blinking neon sign directly above your head.
