So many possibilities with this shot! I think you've captured a great view, and my personal opinion is that the even light does a great job of showing off the striation in this majestic rock. Nicely done.

thanks, that is why I posted the shots, they formations are really unique.
It is about 20 miles south of Santa Fe, just off the highway back to Albequerqe. Well worth the visit if you get to the area!
It is a Natiaonal monument, not a park, so basically there are no facilites, you drive up and put 5$ in a box and off you go. Two trails, the easy loop is about 1.5 miles and not really all that inspiring. the second trail is a slot canyon trail that takes you to the top. about a 3 mile addition r/t and a pretty hefty climb on rugged trail. about 800' ascent if I remember correctly. Well worth every painful step.

Reminds me of the formations in Cappadocia. And you say this is Santa Fe? I guess I missed it!
