I like the perspective on this one, it was worth getting dirty. It?s got that dilapidated feel to it. the crumbling paint, the dried up paint flakes on the floor, the dangling window frame. Ya know though, this is probably a toxic environment with all the lead based paint and asbestos in the air, consider yourself a war photographer at this point. Nice choice of black and white. I agree with the previous post as far as not being able to see the debris inside on the tub, this choice of angle is more aesthetically pleasing than if you wouls have documented the filth in the tub. ~Mike

There's a foreign film I watched recently about a mental asylum and this series gives me the same feelings of curiosity and repulsion. This may be my favorite.

Biliana, I am hesitant to say exactly where I was.....let's just say; "where I wasn't supposed to be". It is not too far from Baltimore. And thank you so much for ALWAYS being supportive!

I say 7 just for the fact that you got down on that floor with the germs, and bugs, and whatever else occupied it just to get this shot. I like this perspective too, I think what I like most about it is that you cannot see inside of the tub...sometimes the strongest part of a photo is something that is not in it. Makes me get chills, almost expecting something to rise from out of it...it leads one to use their imagination- I love the textures from the paint chipped walls, and also the hanging window screen(?)-a strangely beautiful image~

This series is absolutely incredible Brad. When I look at these photos I can feel the anguish, the despair, the lost and abandoned feeling the patients must have experienced. The darkness and decay, their minds, the light, a false hope. Excellent work!
