About Shadow Model Chrissie stands in front of a tube, in the back the fading sun. Shadow is torn, fragmented, weird. Are there signs of Jekyll & Hyde?

The sun went away 30 seconds after this shot. This is my first D70 upload. took me a long time to find a suitable photo. chrissie helped me a lot - as always ;-)

Comments are appreciated a lot.

Hi Uwe,

Dear Hugo,

in fact, this shot had to be made within seconds ;-) So chrissie and me saw the reflecting sun, made some shots and then thought about creating the shadow as an extra element. but time was against us =)

as for the D70: I'm testing the cam yet, but I will definitely buy one. my standard lens has just been ordered. =)

As I'm actually working as a hardware editor, I have great contacts to Nikon and I can order test samples.

Thanks for the contructive comment and take care,

Thilo

Gute arbeit.
Gruss und viel spass mit der Kamera
Neil

Nicely done - what I like about this will betray my simple mind ... I like the orange line on the right side...it seems to be keeping Chrissie in the frame as she seems to be trying to break out ... K :)

Hi Thilo, Very creative shot. The tones are excellent, as is the combination between galvanised steel and the radiant tones of the last rays of sun. Chrissie's shadow livens up this image alot, but also creates an excellent tension. The only thing I think that could've boosted the composition is if the reflection of the sun would've been more to the right, less intersecting with the shadow.

Very creative, and congratulations with your D70! I know you were thinking of buying one, but Didn't know it already happened! Enjoy it!

Cheers,

Hugo
