Shot at dusk with the sun just at the horizon . This area is called Five Islands , and at low tide , you can walk for miles all the way out to explore these islands . This coastline has the highest / lowest tides in the world .
No question about it , a filter likely would have improved this shot . Unfortunately , I had nothing with me at the time this shot was taken , so I tried to make the best of what I had . I am surprised to hear that you gave up on Reala . It has proven to be the best color print film that I have ever tried . Scans from the negative are decisively better than my D70 ,95% of the time .
I gave up on reala, and all I do when I use it is convert to b&w. this is a nice shot but a polarizer filter might have helped with the sky, just an idea.
