ah, there you go kim! simple lines intertwining ;^) you found some much cooler lines than i did ;^) i love this kind of stuff. silhouted foregrounds topped with wonderful color. but i see what you mean regarding the missing elements. the receding "layers" of lightening silhoutes between the dark foreground and the beautiful sky definitely make this pop. excellent work!
take care, tom

Inukshuks were used by the First Nations People to trick caribou and deer into thinking they were people so the animals would walk towards the hunters while trying to skirt around these "people". It made hunting easier when the inukshuks were properly placed. I've made it my purpose to find more of these and try to create a series... hopefully I'll find more that were made with the true intentions in mind, but I'm not picky... guy on the side of the seawall does interesting formations as well!

Awesomely strong graphical image, Kim! The stark blackness of the stacked stones against the amazing progression of purples fading off into the distance is just amazing! I'm not familiar with "inukshuks" - is there a specific significance to them? The definitely hint a mysterious cultures and hidden messages... Beautifully done!

These are the purples they had in mind when they created velvia :-) I am wondering if a smaller fraction of the dark area would be preferrable, maybe simply as a crop here to render it in a more panoramic format too. I like that there are some non-black tones around the edges and on the rock below the stones.

Thanks for the comment Alan! There's one guy that will spend hours every day creating these, only to knock them down at the end of the day so he can come back tomorrow to do it all again. Thanks again for the comment!

When they created it, it may have been during the day for fun, but youve turned it into a work of art. Beautiful composition, color and layers in the background.
