About	Flash not fired, cleaned with Neat Image since I was a dumb a- and used a low f-stop and a high shutter speed. Still getting used to the SLR controls, but learning. At least it came out. I have about 5 versions of this shot but the first one turns out to be the best one. That always happens. Why is that?

This is a very engaging shot. I don't know why one shot in a particular series stands out. For me, it is not usually the first, but it always seems to be a surprise. One of the great things about photography--digital, especially--is that you get a second chance to see what you thought you had seen, but didn't. And then you find something even better. Thanks for this one . . .
