About Taken on Ste-helene's Island in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I wanted to show what we started with (Sticks & Stones) and what we are at today. Hope it works.

Here I used a 1 stop ND Grad, a 2 stop ND Grad and a warming polarizer all by Singh-Ray.

Please visit www.timecatcher.com to view work from a team of photographers around the world I am happy to be part of.

Thank you for your time and comments

Fantastic job, consistently wondeful images, nice touch with the "pond weed".

Hi Tom.
I always walk around to try to find the right foregroud. I have learned to walk with my camera in my hands and leave my tripod somewhere until I find the best place and angle and only them will I set up my camera on my tripod. It is much easier and you will get more creative if you do it this way or else you always end up taking pictures in one of the first place you would setup your tripod. Thanks a lot for the great comment and hope this will help you a bit in your future photographic escapade

patrick, another excellent shot! love the variation in background subjects. but i have to ask: your foregrounds are always so perfect. is it by chance? do you walk around until you find the right fore? or is it setup? i hope my question doesn't come across in a negative way, btw. i really like your work and do use it as inspiration. so i'm very curious as to your "process" as i'm still striving to achieve this level of proficiency.

take care,
tom

Great composition - works well with that foreground lighting to contrast the skyline

I love the composition, these building on the horizon, the water and the rock in the left corner, however this "grass" doesn't work form me - it distracts my view ;-)

Aha! A new variation on one of your favourite themes--this time with a cityscape on the skyline. Works very well... and makes quite a contrast! Thanks for the informative "about."
