About I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, where oxslips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, with sweet musk-roses and with eglantine.
(Shakespeare)

I took out all color except the flowers in PS.

tvery nice composition... Did the grey also catch a 'pinky' haze or my eyes playing tricks on me?

Thanks Dirck for the comments, I looked back at the original of the flowers and I hadn't caught the tops, it was windy and they were constantly moving, Are you thinking of going to Guate. for Xmas.? Alison

Striking colors, especially against that desaturated background! Like Neal, I like the gentle diagonal of the flower stalks. I don't think it suffers from having the tops cut off - to get all of that, you would have had to back up and/or shoot it vertically. I like it as it - especially the bumblebees!

Outstanding contrast in the colours, Alison! What a great technique to bring out the best in the flowers.

Very pretty colors. I like how you removed the color in the background. I like the composition too. There are the diagonal lines of the plant stems at right angles to a line along the top of the blossoms which makes for excellent balance. Perfect cropping. I love it.

Potentially a very good photo. The crop is awkward. Had you included the top of all three bloom stalks this would look more balanced.
