$100 for PS and a Mac platform, therefore didn't seem that mindless to me.

In fact, photoshop is not the tool you and I need to work on our pictures... It is a tool for professional publishers. if you buy it, you pay for 70% of stuff you will never use. But if you can afford to mindlessly buy it you deserve it.
I used the much cheaper cousin, Adobe Photo deluxe to change your picture, but I guess the overexpensive version will have the same functionality too. It's called perspective tool in photo deluxe.

Thanks Sam - I think your version is truer to the scene and yet I somehow like the distortion in mine. Would it be impertinent to ask how you did this? I am still finding my feet with PS and given its complexity and my lack of time, I am grateful for all tips.

fantastic dynamic range. everything is exposed very well. you work very well with a 10D.

hello, i loved the photo as it is. i think the street is very unique with the curve and in my opinion there is no need in straighten it. your photo really capture the atmosphere at the street. excellent image. regards, relly. oh, and the sky !!!! really great.
