About This is a photo on the beach just in front of my new home on Hornby Island. My cabin is tucked just on top of the bluff that you see in the trees. I will be getting all the winter storms hitting me in the teeth all winter. So be ready for REAL storm photos later in the months to come!
Check out the beach here it is composed of Sandstone which wears into funny shapes and forms by the wave action of the ocean

What a beautiful view you have, you can see that you will be having some dramatic weather, with these low clouds in the distance as an example. I will look forward to seeing some great shots without having to experience it. Alison

Yes,
all the tourists are gone and it is very uninhabited now!!!! so i can walk all day on these beachs now and see nobody. So now is the time to visit Hugo.... The huge 1 Ton Sea Lions willbe basking on my beach in a few weeks as will the Bald Eagles perched in the trees over my head dropping fish bits that they just caught in the ocean. This place is teaming with wild life. What a different VIB from the City!

Beautiful image with great DOF and detail.
Did you consider the Nikon 12-24 at all when you bought the D70?

Hi Jim I am still in the processs of delivering loads to the island. The last load via moving truck on Monday. Hey thanks for the email durring your trip. I didn't have time to respond as i have been over the top busy.
Sorry to hear that you down and out. I will get a chance to check your pics once i'm settled down over there.
Hey,the huge Sealions park there butts just down the beach from me,as do all the Bald Eagles. Well tons of wild life here really. I'll post them for you soon. Hey you might have to come for a visit!

Well are you finally done moving ?? I won't ask if you are settled yet because that is a whole different ballgame.
Glad to see things are coming along. I had a great trip, can't believe its over !! Based on the quality of shots you have posted, i got the 18-70 lens for my D70. Problem I came home sick and haven't had a chance to use it yet !! Darn dust storm got to me.
Good to see you back

Hi Lloyd,
Yes i have been in the process of moving all my stuff to here ..... still have one more load to go from Victoria on Monday. So i have been off line for a bit. The real drag is that there isn't fast internet there yet. Hope they hook it up soon though. Hey do you have Cable or DSL over there?
