My favourite element of this photo is how well detail has been captured, which for me is near impossible when it comes to bright red and pink objects. The clear lines on the petals create a very strong dynamic - they explode from the center and provide a feeling of motion as the eye is pulled through the photo.
I feel the center of the flower could use a bit of sharpness, even if it's just the tips of the purple bits (I don't know the correct term for those!). I believe it would create a stronger anchor for all those great lines. If you can, try shooting flower macros with a tripod, so you can better control your depth of field. You won't be able to every time (some flowers are annoyingly out of reach), but for myself it can save me a lot of frustration, especially on windy days when my hands are feeling a bit shaky. :)
Nice work!

Very well composed ! Looking on the pic gives the impression of a zoom effect, because of the converging lines. Very nice idea to show a little bit of the green b/g. Very good work Groet Jan

I love it, what a lovely soft tone to a bright red flower. The positioning makes it really nice. I hope you have lots more of lovely surprises from your seeds. Rather like my Toad Lillies, just waiting to see what they were like Margaret Thank you for comments
