nice shot of this flower. the colour is vibrant.... altho i'm not sure if this is a macro. not quite close enough, as i see it.
thanks for the welcome back alison. i hadn't uploaded any photos for over two months. havent seen much of interest lately, altho i do have some good ideas.

The flower seems to be reaching out, embracing the sky. Great depth of field. I'm undecided about the grass in the bottom left. Does it add to the image or distract? Great shot!

The dark background shows off the color so beautifully, and there's just enough detail in it to prove it wasn't a piece of black cardboard. May you never run out of pink flowers to photograph.
