Hi John, Although I think the left side of the photo is awesome, I think the image just fades away to the left, loosing the attention of the viewer, as it opens up too much, letting the eyes wander out of the scene. It creates a slight unbalance in the composition and lay-out. I think cropping this image to a square could solve that. (see attached)
Tones and exposure as well as the landscape are pretty impressive.
