Great image John, the road highlighted really makes this picture and the car adds interest.. Our camera club had a group in Death Valley last week. I didn't go but they said they had a great time. Took a bus load over.. Don.

Image is perfectly cropped. Keeping out the higher mountain range gives this image an overall even flowing image of the color ranges. Much more eye pleasing.
Excellent composition!

John, Having now seen what was there I think you made the best "cut." (I might have known you would...) It's definitely the light on the road that makes this picture, as you say. I don't think I said how much I liked it. Sorry about that!

Roger - Thanks for questioning the upper edge. I struggled with where to put it. Here is all that existed below the blown out sky. Do you really think it would be better to include more of the lighter mountians? I wanted to keep the brightness limited to the highway. Thanks for the insights - JB

I wish there was a little more room at the top, John. If not right to the skyline, then at least to get in the top of the hill. I see the digital FL multiplier is only 1.35:1 with the DMR9. I wonder if that will also be true of the digital Leica RF? (Just idle curiosity, you understand. Not actually in the market for it...)
