I hate school pictures... I understand that in order to get everyone in, shot, and out... within a price range that parents can afford... the traditional "mug-shot" must be done for the yearbook. The problem, however, is that these pictures never really show who the child is at that point in their life. For that reason, I make it a point to take a "portrait" of each of my children every year at "school picture time" to try and capture the essence of who they are. To me, these will be precious when looking back at their lives 10, 20 or even 30 years from now.
Nice portrait. I like your outlook on what I consider to be 'the norm' with school photos. This shows much more of the child as a person IMHO. Well done Michelle.
