Chris, answer is simple - limitations of my camera. It has only 16 sec longest shutter speed and I know from last tries that it may not be enough because ISO 50 I use. However, here I used only 5sec with f/2.8 knowing that surprisingly lens on C-750 is not distorting much. I knew that main subject - buildings are so far and will be perfectly in focus at infinity(in manual focus mode), while close subject(water reflection) will blur anyway by shutter speed. I wasn't afraid if water will be even more blur because of f/2.8

Hi Stan a great cityscape at nightime. One day really soon I am going to get out and do some night shots in Providence, maybe the next time that they have the Waterfire event. Wonder why f/2.8? A bigger f-stop and longer exposure may have increased sharpness throughout the image, but it looks good at the chosen settings none-the-less.

Beautiful shot Stan. Have never been "across the river" to get a night shot like this - Manhattan looks great at night !. Someday I'll make the effort (but I never have a car when I'm there. Have stop using the subway so I guess it will be taxi). Great work, Mark

PS: Thank you for your comment to my pic "last supper" this picture was taken in Peru, where I live, but that is not a common habit here, it is the first time that I see something like that. Here we also protect the birds, I have at home a breeder center of birds of prey where after the birds being born we prepare them for the wild life and we return them to the nature :) you can see it in my portafolio http://www.usefilm.com/image/546710.html there is a sequence from small until being free.
