Thanks for the comments Neal. Actually this filter does not have a clear spot in the center as some do. When I get some other shots from this series scanned, I'll post one w/o filter for comparison. Best wishes, Kurt

I think this diffuser worked really well. The droplets on the stem seem quite sharp and then the image gets softer towards the outside edges. Does this filter have a clear spot in it? I think it's a very well done image with nice rich colors and, of course, dynamic composition.

Judi, of course I'm always interested in other peoples versions of my images. I'm impressed by how much you were able to sharpen this. It's like the softening filter has been taken away.
As time permits, I'll try to upload another shot from this series (without filter) for comparison.

Kurt I tried to comment on this image earlier but UF went down.
Anyway, I know you were after a soft effect but thought you might be interested in my version here.
I do like the colours and the softness of your image better.
