Same lily, two shots, 1 creative mind with unquestionable skills. I don't know why you didn't add this to the B&W flower Project, it is a winner and it could win the BIP award.
I like it allot very well done and keep up the good work, regards,

Hi Judi, you've once again forced us to focus on concept and form, rather than chromaticity with this presentation. A most effective use of B&W, I must say.
By using what looks to be two different shots of the flower and composing a group of images fashioned from them, you've achieved a harmony of diagonals, and I like the overlapping petals near the center. The bold highlights on the pistils adds a dramatic contrast as well. Judi, your expertise in graphic design really shines here.
This may seem strange to you, but my first impression on seeing this image was that of multiple bursts of fireworks exploding from a pitch-black sky. I suppose that's the bias of my background. Maybe not so strange though, as the Japanese word for fireworks, hanabi, literally means fire-flower. I'll bet these are beautiful in color as well. Quite well done. Kurt

OK, assume it is the same blossom right? For being different, b/w, OK :-((

The framing and black bg, is nice yes.

Thankyou Teunis. I am pleased this came out. It was so windy when I took it and the light was really bad. It is such a gorgeous red colour but this method really enhanced the details I wanted to show.
