Hmm, for me the original is where my heart is at... those silky silver lines, the hint of darkness (where those nasty spiders creep) and the excellent lighting make it come together nicely. With your adjusted image it takes on a whole new look... sky with heavy metal-worked anchors holding something up... each has something unique but I truly like the atmosphere and light on the original.

Thanks Carlheinz - I am pleased with this idea as well. There is something about the "shadows" (inverted as they may be) that reminded me of your style of editing a little.

great abstract - love the way light diffuses and unsharpens the anchors.

Ah, alright. The picture has had a major change. But it looks better this way. You totally converted the colors. Thanks, Tim.

Thanks Verena - the soft blues really surprised me and I hope it will be possible to find subjects and light that may allow a repeat of this concept.

This is a fascinating image, Stefan - surprisingly engaging considering the extreme simplicity of the elements in it! The original is interesting, too, but going with the reversed image was definitely the right choice. The only thing I find a little distracting is the 'dirty' looking bottom of the frame, but given the subject it's certainly not out of place.

Hi Tim - Those "straws" are the threads used by the spider to support its web. Maybe the original image makes it a little clearer...

I am very sorry Stefan, I can't see the spider web your talking about. I do like the kind of abstract composition created by the simpel useges (straws) and DOF. But maybe even that goes kind of deep. Greets Tim.

Hi Stefan,
exceptional for me I don't want to see it in b&w, love the soft colours in the lines, great for imagination.
Cheers, Verena

Hi Stefan,
so probably Hugos arachno phase inspired you? =)
this one is really special, great abstract. like it that you include the horizontal base line, gives the anchors some support. have you tried it in BW?
well done, my friend. take care, Thilo
