I think you did a great job 'salvaging' this photo, Zeev! It almost seems to slowly shift from a photo at the bottom to a pastel or charcoal drawing toward the top!

Amazing effect, surrealistic, I would though try it in B/W, to may be replace the brownish cast, and bring it to a more greyish tone. The light from above reminds (forgive me for bringing this up) of a nuclear explosion, because of the still and quiet water - it looks like something unexpected is about to happen! I'm not sure you will agree or like this comment. Tant pis!
