Hi Cessy,
Thanks for your comment. I use Photoshop CS and this is how I made the adjustments?
i. I selected the sky using the magic wand set at a tolerance of 40 with the 'contiguous box' unticked. (I needed 2 or 3 '+' selections to get it all.)
ii. I feathered the selection by 8 pixels and then inverted so that the trees and ground were selected.
iii. I copied this selection to a new layer and changed the blend mose to 'screen'. I then adjusted the opacity until the trees and ground were about the right degree of brightness.
iv. I merged the two layers and then tweaked the 'hue and saturation' and the 'contrast' a little.
v. That's it!
