About I took my first few RAW images last Tuesday and, (apart from the extra fiddling you have to do in Photoshop), I was very pleased with them. There seems to be a discernible difference in quality. The only problem would be that I'd only get around 180 shots on a 1GB card and I often take more than that in an afternoon. Ah well, I shall just have to be more selevtive!! :o))

Have a great Saturday everyone. I'm just about to try and finish my sermon for tomorrow!!

Best regards,

Chris

So ! Raw is good they say. That said, I like this shot. It could be taken right up the road from my house ! The old fish houses that the Norsk families used for years look so much like this.
Very good quality image, very interesting to view.
Nicely done

Chris, I have only 57 shots on a 1 GB card... I guess, the best variant is the following:
http://dpreview-cnet.com.com/Archos_Gmini_220_20GB/4014-6490_9-30586668.html
At least I'm going to buy it because can't see any other acceptable variants...

Nice shot and perfect quality (of sky, in particular). Probably, I'd change a little WB.

Regards,
Serge

Hi Chris, welcome to the RAW club :) Great shot and really sharp, i like it. I too have changed to shooting RAW now but i only have two 512MB cards. Don't you get a sore finger from shooting so many :) Sorry i haven't been able to write much lately, hard at work as you know in Bormio. Trying to take good skiing shots makes you realise just how good some of these pros are. Anyway have a nice weekend and catch you later.
Regards Neil

Hey!!! Where are the seagulls???? :-/

It's a great photo...with wonderfulll colours and much to look at. I see why you're satisfied with this one...you should be.
Yes..it's good to be selective...cause that makes you THINK!! Perhaps the less photos you'll take will be even better! ;o)

Enjoy your day...

Hugs
Merete

You should shot always RAW Chris. Itěs the best way to go if you really wanna quality in your digital photos.

This one is beautiful. Colours are as in your style: vivid and superbs.

WOWOWOWOW now that is quality Chris.....ok now i will have to try Raw again...just thought it was such a pain with all the "extra fiddling". Oh Yeah you have at least a 1 gig card ...... with my 512 mb i fill the card in minutes. i might just have to buy a bigger card AND A BIGGER HARDDRIVE i guess...lol
