It's an absolute stunner. I'm very very impressed. Apart from the technical it?s the face that draws the real attention. The thin line between laughing and crying. A smile but the smeared mascara tells a different story.
Superb

Patrick, thank you for the great comment. I am glad you appreciate it. This series mean a lot to me and to Yulia, we really wanted to say something with this and although I think we succeeded to a degree we will be exploring and experimenting more in a few weeks. At you suggestion, I have added the image to the Avedon project. Thank you my friend, your comments are ALWAYS appreciated. Jeff

This is your best shot my friend... Absolutly perfect! Add it to Richard Avedon project.. i think you can get a BIP for this one! Perhaps not Avedon style but fits the theme:
(Try to create the most heartfelt and honest portraits you can. Emphasize a connection between yourself and your subject and share it with all of us. )
I really like this portrait my friend and your model Yulia has shown her quality here as well. Its not only good.. its better then so.. I have a hard time facing her eyes/look.. she is so sad, angry and depressed and i get the feeling she is blaming me for everything that happend her.
That expression and how you caught it is brilliant.. really powerful. There is alot of portrait here with people trying to do their best posing.. but it never becomes real.. its good "acting" at the most.. but not real like this. Karen Clarke has a few photos that has affected me big time also.. where i get a big chunk of something in my stomach when i see the photo.. i get the same feeling here. Infact i looked at this on earlier today.. but couldnt write anything.. i just stared at her.. my mind was blank.
The Angle, composition, tones and light are perfect in my eyes! I really hope you will get an award for this super photo for its well worth it!
Your best shot my friend!! =)))
7++++ if i could rate!!
Into my favorites!!
Cheers

This one is intense and a bit scary... She appears to be contemplating the end of her life. But she is scared about dying, but also not wanting to continue life without her lover. The cigarette out of all these shots couldn't fit more perfectly here. As with smoking, and a broken heart, leaves a person slowly dying but in two different ways. The expression on her face shows a bit of insanity. It truly captures the emotions of having true love and losing it. Perhaps she is lying there waiting for someone else to come along and pick her up off the floor-to play the damsel in distress waiting for someone to rescue her. All the time she doesn't realize that she is the one who is powerful enough to do the rescuing. Will the ending be tragic? Or will it end with hope? At this moment there is no clue, and I find myself waiting to find out how it all will end...or begin...
