The same Paphiopedilum as the last image. It's from a diffe angle, as you note. I think it's a better picture personally, but I like the top sepal [crown] better on the previous. Anyway, ALL comments are appreciated!!
wow, just realized this guy isn't in the calceolaria family, its in the order orchidae *sheepish grin* sorry about that :P I guess i didn't recognize the distinctive orchid qualities until i had another look. *sigh* Look before you leap tim.
Gorgeous, i love flowers from the calceolaria family. Did you know that calceolaria means shoemaker in latin? They are called this, because the lower lips reminds people of a 19th century ladies slipper. These flowers are most common in the Andes at about 300m, instead of producing pollen, these guys produce an oily substance that bees use to feed their larvae with.
