I like the way you play with dof in your macro shots - it really is photography as an expression of art rather than a simple replication of a subject. I have been trying too hard to get the "correct" image with dof, rather than a "sense" of what the subject is. Both have value, but from a creativity perspective there is more "Spielraum" with the artistic method.
When I have a bit more time I will give this a go. Thanks for the inspiration
