About
This shot was taken in Death Vally, September of this year. It was about 10:00PM, 113 degrees with a 50+ mph wind in our face. The storm dumped a fair amount of rain in the mountains and created some wild flash floods we had to drive through to get back to the Valley floor.
Now I'm beginning to see what you're getting at when you spoke about storms in DV...:) Very powerful image, and spectacularly captured, showing the details of the lanscape lit by the lightning. I would consider cropping a bit off the top and bottom of thye image, consising the view to the parts that show the contrast and details in it. Per attached the version I have in mind...
Great timing in capturing the lighning. It's something I've wanted to photograph for a very long time, but decent storms are few and far between in my part of the world. I think a little more black would help wit hthe contrast here - it seems a fair bit grey on my screen. Great capture of natures fury. Well done.
