This is scanned from a slide and reveals more about the poor quality of my scanner than the camera - the definition of the flower has somehow disappeared. I think I'll be asking Santa Claus for a film scanner :)
I must admit I use the local HEB, which is a really big grocery store, which happens to have a pretty good photo dept, they do the scans for me, I get them Tiff files, which usual run about 18-20 megs. per picture. As far as reccomendations for a scanner, The Nikon Coolscan V ED.. It's kinda expensive but its a film only scanner and the reviews that I have read seem to say it is the best in class.
