About This is the next picture from my photographic workshop at Polish National Park on the coast.

I tried to capture the details of the sand and its texture as well as the shadow coming from the little stick which is the only remnant of life here.

I hope you will like it. Comments are as always welcomed :-)

Regards
Lukasz

Excellent Lukasz - I like the shadow of the stick forming an angle with the windblown ridges on the sand. Great composition and handling of light. Regards.

Truly amazing how you advance in your work .. excellent abstract of sand with repetitive form, broken by one different element .. this is what photography is really about (for me at least) !

Hi Lukasz, Very nice shot; the textures, patterns as well as the stick and the long shadows add alot of interest to this photo. Well composed too, although I feel a bit ambiguous about the shadow of the stick intersecting with the edge of the photo. Not so much the fact that it crosses the edge, but the proximity of the crossing point to the lower right corner is relatively small.

The complementary tones in the shadows is very intersting. My art teacher pointed that out to us in assessing paintings; the shadows always have a complementary tone to the sunlit areas; and the warm, somewhat orangy tones in the sand correspond beautifully to the pale blue in the shadow sides... Very cool.

Cheers,

Hugo

I like the effectful simplicity of your shots from this place. Graphically they are strong, and as a series it must look great as an exhibition.. ? :-)
