Looks delicious to me! I think the hand and spoon in the background help set the scene, but a slightly simpler, cleaner composition would have strengthened the image. Actually, 1/60th sec is a bit slow for hand-held shots with an SLR (that mirror flap is responsible). Rangefinders are free of this, so I can often get away with even 1/15th sec or sometimes longer.

upper left section - a chest or a chair with somebody's arm? Strange opinion could emerged...
Right section - some blurred female's hand with a ring on it - what a pity - new girl? oh, then I'm happy , ha..ha..! Sitting so close to you...hmm

Thanks for the suggestion. Somehow, that's why I love taking pictures at night, looks funny when you have to use a tripod at daylight (and a bit distracting too to have to bring one to a cafe....). Hey, you've got a beautiful portfolio too (and an award!!!)

That's what I always thought, 1/60th is fast enough. But I noticed a lot of pictures were slightly blurred. Now I use my ISO settings a lot more and try to keep it as fast as applicable and my pictures are sharper.
You should take a picture of something with lines in it at different speeds, look at it at 100% crop and you will see.
I like your portfolio by the way; you have a good eye.

You mean you don't go out to buy ice cream with your tri-pod!)
Assuming you were at ISO 100, using ISO 400 on the Rebel would have given you a fairly clean image and a shutter speed 4x as fast.

Hi Sebastian, no I'm not using the tripod. I was actually on a cafe and just about to eat this ice cream when I saw this as a good object. The hand in the background is someone else's at the table, and the lighting is quite dark so I have to use high ISO, large aperture opening, and slow shutter speed....

Hi Giuliano, well yes, I agree that too many things cluttered the image, and the spoon is quite a distraction. I guess I'd have to do some PS works in this one. Thanks for the comment...

I agree with Giuliano. You need to reduce the clutter in the frame. Also, the image doesn't look that sharp to me. Did you use a tripod at 1/60?

The idea is nice but you have to reduce the objects in the frame. The hand on the background disturb me a little bit (but it's my personal opinion!)
