I love everything here. and I wouldn't call this "simple" =)
the toning is expectional, so is the shadow and the overall composing with the tilted feather leaning on the wall. great rework and detail.

Your stuff is incredible I get a sense of darkness with a touch of mystery from everyone of your photos I love that about your style...you truly have a unique one at that .... This is a completely unusual treatment for a feather....usually they are presented so delicately, but this is rather grainy and stark, and works remarkably well! You had good intuition with this effort! Hope all is good, and getting better! ...Brad

I like everything about this. The lines, the angles, the background and shadow, the old-fashioned look. You might be referring to a bird and flight or to a quill pen and an implied message but in either case it seems to me a lot can be read into this. Beautiful.

Now Gayle.... this is really weird.... i've been taking the same shot s today......not exactly the same.... but very similar......even to the point of having the shadow in it...... i will wait and post them another day......
by the way.... i think the photo is just perfect... love everything about it.... very well done....
