Tis isn't the picture I was trying to find, but it is close enough--and equally interesting!

I love feathers too Dottie, especially when they are splayed out on wings. It really amazes me how birds are able to control each and every one of them.
Excellent image, love the colours.

You know Deb, this niave little mind of mine never thought about anything bad... yikes, the thought of the little bird being hurt or worse, oh my... well you can tell from the note I left on your deer pic, I'm a bleeding heart! Thanks for the comments, (on the photos) :) Later, Dottie

It is beautiful--and a little melancholy. A few days ago, I saw an absolutely gorgeous picture of a feather balancing a drop of water. I will continue looking for it. I think you would enjoy it, too.

Regards,

Terrific composition and detail, Dottie. I agree with Rebecca, though - there's probably a sad story here.

Oh Jeanette, that is so sad. Rebecca thought about the dead bird too, me I just thought about the pretty feathers... lolthey were all loose, so maybe the little guy lost them naturally. Dottie

Sad? The history of Native Americans or just the feeling you get from it? D
