James, I use Adobe RGB for all my work. The comment about sRGB related to the final conversion to JPEG for posting to Usefilm. JPEGs don't support the broad Adobe RGB gamut as they're 8bit so they are auto-converted by PS to sRGB.

Nice image with a great foreground, and I like the way the grasses stay within the bounds of the lake. I know your frustration of dealing with the wind. I've recently tried to intentionally show the wind in such cases with mixed results. I'd much rather have a calm day! I'm curious to know why you use the SRGB color space because the Adobe 1998 color space provides a larger gamut.

Amazing angle and scene Barry, I really like how you use real filters while shooting as opposed to relying on post-processing. Very thoughtful work and an amazing end result!

Breat Shot once again Barry. You have given justice to this beautiful place. Perfectly exposed. +++

Chris, thanks for the comment. Yes, the hot spots were caused when I converted to JPEG. I don't know if you have the same issue but when converting an image in the Adobe RGB colour space to a JPEG in the more restricted SRGB colour space I lose saturation and so I have to increase saturation to +8 to +10 before conversion which, in a scene like this where the full dynamic range is used up, leads to over saturation.

Wonderful calm scene but with drama sneaking its way into the sky.

Nice shot Barry- well composed and you handled the difficult lighting well, just a couple of hotspots in the clouds.

Gervais, thanks for the comment. Yes, an 81B is a straw coloured filter designed to compensate for the blue tones that occur when light levels are light.

Barry,
this is tremendous, you really have caught (or better created) the atmosphere here. I'm very impressed with the result. I must grab a few more ND Grads ;-)

Nice work. I am attracted to it because there are interesting features, whether of colour or texture everywhere in the frame from the wisps of cloud, to the smoothness of the lake and the wiry strands of grass.
P/s Is an 81B warm-up a filter?

Good exposure and colour's, like the foreground interest you have included acts as a nice lead-in into the picture.
