Thanks for your very thoughtful comments, Mark!

He didn't really say much afterwards, he was only 17 months old at the time, but his actions spoke much louder!! LOL We weren't expecting snow that day, so as you can see he was not dressed for it. He DID NOT want to come back inside and was very upset when we made him! Here is another photo from that day, came out blurry unfortunately, but I think it displays his thoughts on the snow ;o)

from the thumbnail he looks like a warrior contemplating battle, from the chinese/hong kong movies I watch sometime. Had a very Zen feel. Still feels very asian in its presentation, sparceness and the lines, but the curiosity shows thru, what did he say afterwords?

Green Gemeni,

We actully live up in the mountains. Our city is called Tehachapi, "The land of four seasons" because we experience each of the seasons very distinctly. We get a good snow every year! Thanks for commenting!

Snow in Cali? I thought that Cali was pretty mild all year round. Love this shot of him exploring the snow! I also agree with Howie, the gaps between the boards really add contrast to the snow, making it more visible.

This is lovely and the lines from the floor really make this work well in black and white :)

Of course, who isn't fascinated by the snow? Especially at that age! I love it! The lighting, coloring, contrast and everything else looks great! Great photo, excellent work :)
