Yes, you are Darren. Your shooting gets better with each session.

I totally agree Paul! Back when I started with models, I had no clue what to do with lighting. As you can see with my "Viv" picture that you also commented on, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Thanks for the critiques, and keep em coming bud!!! -Darren-

I would reduce the vignette effect here, Darren. Nice head shot, just open that bright creamy center to include more than just her eye.

I made a mistake. I meant that I darkened the lower right, not left. Sorry for the typo.

Hi Dina! Thanks for your interest. The light was indeed up high and to the left, which is where I had her look; but yes, you are correct in that I went ahead and darkened the lower left of the photo a bit more in P.S. just to add to the contrast. I liked the original color version, but this one looked so much more dramatic, that I had to post it instead.
Thanks again friend! :]

this is absolutely gorgeous! Did you apply the lighting with ps after you took it or did you take the shot with an actual light on her?

Jani, I used a 250 watt bulb in a see through umbrella set up high to the left. I had the model look right at the umbrella for a catch light. In fact, if you look at her eyes in the photo above, you can see the umbrella in her pupils. I admit that it was all experimental at this point, but I sure liked the results.
Thanks again for your interest!

I love her eyes and lashes!!! I also really like your perspective. Seems a bit dark to me, but that may simply be a matter of taste.
