This was the old Thai spirit house I found on a return visit to a Northern Thai village. I'd known it in its prime and noted the prostrate figure left alone in it, so I took the photograph and raised the figure, to return it to a more dignified position.

I hope it's okay, too, Tara, but reinstating the figure seems to be an act of charity. Anyway, I'm well known as a local eccentric - ever since, a few years ago, I was seen on a cremation site the day after a ceremony.
I hope it's ok to touch the figure... It is funny how different cultures have similar little figures... reminds me of day of the dead from Mexico... only a Thai version.
