About A young tiger at the Lion Park near Pretoria. The temperature was in the high 30s Celsius today and this tiger was cooling off in the water trough. Shot through a diamond mesh fence hence the tight crop.

Fabulous shot and I am soooo envious that you have the long arms in the family. Very difficult shot, and you did magnificent in overcoming the photographic obstacles.

What a fantastic animal! I appreciate the problems you had catching this image, but I do agree with the comment relating to the background - maybe a little PS work called for?

Thanks Melissa, it was quite difficult because there are two fences and I had to hold the camera at arm's length to get it as close to the inner fence as possible, at which point I could hardly see the LCD screen!

A classic, especially bearing in mind the physical difficulties getting the shot.

Lovely shot of the tiger. It might have been interesting to see it with the background blurred a little more to focus on the tiger's face. But it sounds like you had some serious limitations with the fence. Good job!
