Wonderful photo Howie, I love beachcasting and fishing in the sea ... a little difficult from Harrogate I know ;-)

I hope you had a wonderful night last night.

Best wishes and a very Happy New Year to you and your family,
Steve

Really nice! I like your perspective, it makes it seem as though the water has no beginning or end, like you are right there in it with the fisherman. The entire compostion is really good and I love how you can only see the silhouette of the fisherman.

Very good silhouette Howie!
Looks like a cold gray day!

Take care.............JOHN

Nice capture, really like its monochrome like feel, and the composition works really well.

Hi Howie... At first glance I didn't like this photo but then it sort of grew on me. I think it may have been better if you had caught the fisherman looking right (he seems to be looking out of the frame and it is a trifle off-putting as it unbalances the image IMHO). Also think that perhaps applying the rule of thrirds a little more rigorously may help. Good image though and evocative of many a winter spent at the waters edge as a child....

Nice catch Howie that demonstrates the technic you have..You have the camera of my dream at the moment. What do you think about?
When we look carefully at the fisherman, he is looking on the left.. wasn't alone?
I like the image with the see, and this one is beautiful.. so i like it too..
Have a nice ending year Howie, and see you the next one..

A photo that evokes splendidly the wet, cold, salty feel of a wind-swept stretch of beach. I also like firmly anchored silhouette of the fisherman against the restlessness of the waves. Just my imagination? More likely your effective technique. In any case have been in that spot often. Spent long days waiting, caught a few.

Regards

Gervais
