Really beautiful scenery, agree with the others about the composition around the path leading the eyes. What about a 30% crop at the bottom - easier to do than get up early again ;-)

Thanks for all your messages! I'm from Chorlton, Manchester, England. It was a real treat to have this snow on Christmas, and over the next 3 days! I'll be adding some more shots from those wonderful days, and will view your photos too..have a great day, Samantha X

Welcome to usefilm, Samantha, I really like this, where abouts are you from to have got this much snow. We have had very heavy frosts over Christmas but no snow. Certainly worth getting up early for. Margaret

Love the blue cast, and all the sharp detail. Maybe try a different angle next time...shoot a little lower to the ground maybe? Very well done though. Corrie

samantha, i recommend you get up early often to see things that many people never get to see. i routinely head out to take photos before sunrise since this is the best time of day in so many ways. particuarly here in china, i avoid the massive crowds. but for other reasons as well, more peaceful and the lighting is often better.
a nice first shot on usefilm.
take care ~ james

This is very nice! I love the footprints in the snow and the road curving away off to the right.
I also like the blue tones, though I have to say that they conveyed evening to me, not dawn! In fact, looking at the photo, I was wondering if you had the camera white balance set for indoors? (Either way, it's a cool effect.)
With regard to the angle of the path, another thing to try is to get lower to the ground, which will make the path take up more of the frame at the bottom.
But I think this is very nice, as is (as Louise Vessey said). It's eye-catching and when I saw the thumbnail, I wanted to see it in its full size!

It is lovely as it is. Love the cool blue tone of early morning. If you get another snow and go back early again try taking a step or two to the right to have the path entering the left of the frame, leading our eye to the right. Love the snow covered bench too!!

Well done. This was worth getting up so early. On small comment: I would have the path start or finish at an angle of the frame (give a bigger impact on the eye). Great job
