About I'm not sure this is such a great photograph, but I love the action and the movement in it. One of my very favorite photos of my husband, who also enjoys seagulls.

Thank you Kasia! Actually, what you don't see is the dozen or so OTHER photos I took... which is one of the best things I've discovered about digital. I'm much more willing to take more photos - advice I should have taken during the film days, but couldn't bring myself to do. Missed a lot of great photos that way. I do have some more of this same seagull session which I will post in the next week or so. Thanks for your kind comment! Amy

Perfect composition... I wonder how long you had to wait for them to be like that ;). Great light and colors.

This reminds me, I have several seagull photographs that still need to be processed. These birds, if you really take the time, you'll realize how beautifully designed they are. And speaking of design, your composition on this one is right on. Works great as a square format image. I like this one a lot.

Thanks Andries! That particular gull is my favorite too, of all of them. I like your border, and signature style. What font is that? Amy

I love this shot Amy I really like the gull with its wings open. Great shot. I did a level balance and border for the photo....just for fun.

Peter, Thanks I think this will really help! Possibly the big problem was the 300 resolution I was using. I'll try your method and see. Would be nice to have something simple so as to not waste a lot of time resizing and resizing. Amy

Wonderful Photograph Amy, Great Colors and Clarity. Very well presented.

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the wonder comment on my Photo...
Your friend, Peter
I'm attaching a screen shot (hope it's readable) of the setting I use for my uploads. Most of the setting are automatic. I set width to 5" and Rersolution to 230 pixels / inch and save the resized file in my Usefilm folder. This usually keeps the size withing the upload limits.

Hope this helps

One of my favorites in your portfolio -- the movement and positioning of the birds is perfect and the colors in the sky so ethereal. My only suggestion would be to reduce the saturation of skin tones and perhaps brighten his face a touch.

I like the sense of movements of this photo; all the looks are revolts towards the sky.
Bella!!

Hoe did you get the gulls to position themselves so perfectly?
Top photo - beautiful light and composition - magical soft colour.

Great shot; soft light on the gulls and plastic bag add to a simple but very effective scene
