peaceful, i really love the way tombstones disappear in the fog... silence... it's strange to be alone with so many people around... looking at this shot, i can feel too many sensation, even the noise of the breath when around everything sounds softened by the snow... compliments, sincerely,Michael! strong emotions Ciao Davide

Hey Michael..I see this was taken in Westland... and it's beautiful! It really reminds me of a cemetary I used to live across the street from in Royal Oak.. you might know of it..smack dab in the middle of Main St. and Rochester Rd.... super old gravestones.... cool shot. I like the sepia.

Lily, Thanks for the rating! It was a real foggy day actually. I could not wait to grab my camera and drive to the best place I could think of to photograph it while it lasted. The cemetery was close. The only photoshop was the sepia tint. I shot this handheld at 1/119 at f3.5 and 100 iso. This version was shot with the ?normal program? exposure setting. Thank you for the comment ~Mike

Spookiness captured perfectly! I like the misty look in the distance. a 7.
Just realized this is the same camera I have. Is long exposure the only special thing you had to do? Wondering how you achieved the foggy look.

Thank you for the suggestion, I?ve been trying to keep the post processing down to a minimum, but I?m slowly being convinced that I should lighten up a bit and post more digitally altered photo?s.. Thanks Alper

Absolutely love the atmosphere Michael. The fog with the snow is so unusual and distinctive. The varying contrast and tones are excellent. An exceptional moody capture.

Oh...Michigan...so this must be..snow. I'm kinda slow, and with your excellent toning, I kept trying to realize how someone could have a cemetery in the SAND.
Very, very well done. Another great shot in an already sterling portfolio! 7+

Wow. I can feel the undecided temperature, floating across the quiet. Cemetaries are one of my favorite places to shoot. I never feel rushed, the stillness is intoxicating. This photo captures that feeling so well. I really like your decision to shoot into the light, providing such rich contrasts on the backs of the trees and headstones. The fog is such a natural for this composition, as well! Sensational work, Michael! ...Brad
