Poor man's macro - a low end digital camera (3MP Canon A75) + lens assembly taken from a broken 50mm f/2.8 film camera lens + homemade plastic adapter + homemade flash 'guide' (without it the built in flash is useless for macro photography). I have spent a total of $150 on this setup ($150 for the camera and $0 for the homemade macro equipment)!
Even though I am a complete beginner in photography, I hope to show that you can get usable (super)macro shots using a really low-cost equipment. Go and experiment! It's really fun! :)
This is neat! I like your creative approach. If you have any editing software, I think this could be improved by getting rid of the spots on the right side of the image.
